PlainID Platform - August 2026 Release
The August 2026 release includes product enhancements, UI/UX updates, and bug fixes.
Platform Notifications
Track Platform events as they happen with the new built-in notification center. It surfaces POP Discovery run events across all supported POP Integrations, so you can monitor related objects and Policies without leaving the Platform.
Internal Assets
Assets management now fully supports internal Assets. Source them directly in the Policy Wizard or Policy Builder canvas, then use them in Policy-based authorization calculations across the cloud and your self-hosted PAAs.
AI-Powered Policy Audit Summary
Policy 360 now generates AI-powered summaries of Policy audit activity. Pick a timeframe to see what changed, how it changed, and which changes carry a security impact.
Management API Calls
List API Call for Policy Dependencies: The new List API call allows users to submit a list of Policies before promotion, and the API returns every dependent object in the Platform Policy for those Policy IDs, streamlining your promotion process.

Google BigQuery (GBQ)
Google BigQuery Integrations have been expanded to support two new features:
Native Policy management: Use Manage Mode to create and update Policies using GBQ’s JSON structure.

Databricks
The Databricks Authorizer now discovers Iceberg Tables automatically and manages the Policies that protect them, extending consistent protection across your Databricks Assets.
Snowflake
Structured Masking Policy authoring now supports tag values for Snowflake Environments. Apply different masking rules to the same column based on its tag, keeping tag-based masking logic visible and reviewable in the structured format.
Parameterized Partial Masking for the JSON Authorizer
The JSON Authorizer now supports four position-based masking patterns, giving you a single, unified way to mask fields, resulting in simpler configuration and more predictable behavior across your Policies.
IDP Token Enrichment Service Authorizer
The IDP Token Enrichment Service Authorizer now supports Front Door Access mode. If your architecture routes requests through a central gateway or API front door, you can enforce Policies there instead of at each individual service, keeping enforcement consistent as your Environment scales.
PAA Deployment
PlainID now supports an AWS ECS deployment pack. If your team already runs services in ECS, you can deploy the Policy Authorization Agent within that same infrastructure, using your existing container tooling and pipelines instead of standing up a separate deployment pattern.
Documentation
The PlainID Documentation Portal now lets you ask questions, get clarification, or explore related topics without leaving your workflow. Copy any article as Markdown for your own LLM from the three-dot menu, or launch a chat with ChatGPT or Claude directly from the page, so you get an answer without switching tabs or re-explaining context.
Policy Authorization Agent (PAA)
This release includes security enhancements for the PAA.
