Authorization Platform - February 2024 Release
The February 2024 version release of the Authorization Platform includes new features, product enhancements, and bug fixes.
What’s New?
Runtime Operational Filters for Identity Sources
PlainID is excited to introduce a parameter in PlainID’s Runtime that empowers businesses to streamline the data retrieval process for Identities. Now, services can precisely control which data sources are utilized, cutting down on unnecessary external data loads. By allowing services to specify relevant Identity data sources, businesses ensure that only essential information is considered. When this parameter is implemented in the request, it provides a more focused and efficient approach to data processing.
Product Updates
Power BI Authorizers
There is now enhanced support for complex DAX expressions, providing users with the ability to discover a wider variety of objects from Power BI.
Policy Code Building Blocks
When importing Policy Code, all building blocks are now created as Managed Objects. This ensures enhanced visibility and supports the reusability of these building blocks across various Policies within the Environment.
Mappers for Context Attributes
Users can now leverage flexible mappers for Context Request Attributes, allowing Attribute values to dynamically extract from various sources such as JWTs and Headers. This feature provides flexibility in Mapping Attributes from anywhere within the request, enhancing the precision and granularity of context filtering in source agents.
AAD Data Fetching Performance Improvements
Introducing significant performance updates to the PlainID Azure AD (now known as Microsoft Entra ID) translator. Users can benefit from:
Advanced Group Filtering: Optimizes Group fetching using filters.
OData Queries: Supports filters on View definitions and queries.
Mapping Complex Types: Map complex types, such as Azure AD extension attribute objects.
PIP Translator Optimization
PlainID has optimized the available translators, prioritizing those frequently utilized by our customers. This proactive approach aims to promote a seamless experience and minimize any challenges associated with less familiar translators.
PAA and Authorizers
This release includes security enhancements for the Policy Authorization Agent and Denodo Authorizer.
