The November 2023 version release of the Authorization Platform includes new features, product enhancements, and bug fixes.

What’s New?

PowerBI Authorizer

PlainID is excited to announce that users can now manage row-level security access by orchestrating Policies in PowerBI. This feature simplifies the adoption and distribution of authorization policies across businesses at scale with minimal effort. The result is heightened business agility and reduced operational expenses. Key features include:

  • Streamlining Data Access: Centralize and automate policy management to reduce the manual effort usually required to enforce policies across various systems.

  • Reducing security gaps: Use a Policy-based Access Control Framework to ensure that policies are uniformly applied across the company.

  • Increasing Visibility and Monitoring: Track policy enforcement and identify potential issues or violations.

  • Adapting to Evolving Requirements: Allow quick updates and adjustments to policies in response to changing business needs, security threats, or regulatory changes.

This is an early access feature. Contact PlainID Support for more information.

API Client Credential Keys

Introducing API Client Credential Keys which facilitate Authentication and Authorization for PlainID's Management APIs. This feature empowers PlainID Administrators to create and manage Client Credential Keys on an Environment or Tenant level. The new keys ease integration and automation with Management APIs by leveraging a standard OAuth2 Client Credential flow.

Key features include:

  • Refined Segregation of Management: With the ability to manage multiple clients at both the Tenant and Environment levels, it's now easier to separate and track management activities and automation flows.

  • Enhanced Security: Increased automation security through a standard authentication flow for APIs eliminating the dependency on traditional IDP accounts and allows users to exercise control over token expirations.

Explore the new API Client Credential Keys functionality in the Authorization Platform to unlock advanced control over API access and permissions. Refer to our User Portal for detailed instructions.
