Authorization Platform - October 2022 Release
In this release, PlainID has focused on enhanced usability, new features and capabilities. We added support for more use cases and added more Authorizers.
What's New
A major new feature is the ability to leverage external Identity sources:
Allows customers to easily define different external sources for Identity data, including LDAP, SCIM, JDBC, etc.
Identity data can be combined from multiple sources: external, authorization request, and/or JWT. This enables you to expand the available information for a single identity type.
Supports context-based decision which allows fetching identity data based on the request context.
Data Authorizers for MySQL and Trino
Two new Data Authorizers are included in this release. The new Data Authorizers (for MySQL and Trino) increase the organization’s ability to leverage the Policy Resolution endpoint to receive fine-grained, identity-aware data access controls (including Row and Column Level filtering).
Trino Authorizer is offered as a Trino Plugin.
MySQL Authorizer is offered as a Network Proxy.
Usability Enhancements
You can now create Asset Rulesets from the Policy Wizard.
You can now navigate to Policy List Full View.
Supported operators for Dynamic Groups has been expanded.
API Mapping Enhancement
You can now configure the REST API method when defining the Application API Mappers. This provides more control and flexibility when defining the API Access Policy building blocks.
You can select one or multiple REST methods.
Delegated Access Management Privileges
You can now create Privileges Ruleset from the Availability Wizard.
The Privilege uniqueness check is based on all available attributes under the Privilege Type.

We're happy to hear about your experiences with these new features and look forward to hearing more of what you want to see in the Authorization Platform.
