Feature Focus: Policy State

Do you want to be able to test how adding and removing a specific Policy affects an authorization decision? Or maybe you want to deactivate a Policy in one Environment while testing it in another.

With the introduction of the Policy State option, you can now deactivate Policies as needed. An Inactive Policy won't be taken into account when calculating the authorization decision.

Changing the Policy is as simple as toggling between the two Policy States, Active or Inactive. When a Policy is Inactive, you’ll see a pause icon in the Policy Catalog and the Policy Map appears grayed-out.

Note that by default, all Policies are assigned an Active Policy State. This means it is considered when calculating the authorization decision until you decide you want to deactivate it.

Try it out and see how this feature can help you fine-tune your overall authorization management.

We’re happy to hear about your experiences with these new features and look forward to hearing more about what you want to see in the Authorization Platform.
