In the upcoming release, PlainID is introducing Identity Mapper Sets, a powerful enhancement to our Policy Management Platform.
Mapper Sets are a new capability that bridges the logical world of policy design with the physical attributes used during enforcement, delivering unmatched flexibility, consistency, and scalability for complex enterprise environments.

Unified Mapping Model

The Identity Mapper Set introduces a standardized and consistent mapping structure for Identity Templates and Sources.

Context-Aware Policy Execution

Organizations can now apply the same logical Templates across different contexts by linking Mapper Sets to specific Scopes. Each Scope dynamically resolves the appropriate Mappings for its Environment.

Simplified Management & Migration

Existing Templates and Mappings are automatically migrated into the new model. Every Identity Template will include one default Mapper Set containing its relevant Source mappings - ensuring a smooth transition with no changes required from users.

Auditability and Governance

All Mapper Set operations - creation, updates, and Scope associations - are fully auditable, providing complete traceability and governance over mapping behavior.
