PlainID Platform - February 2025 Release
The February 2025 release of the Platform includes new features, product enhancements, UI/UX improvements, and bug fixes.
Policy Authoring
You can now define multiple Action-to-Asset/Ruleset combinations within the same Asset Type in a single Policy. This provides greater flexibility for use cases requiring more granular Authorization.
Enhanced Navigation between Workspaces
Improved navigation behavior within Workspaces provides a clearer view and improved user experience.
Management APIs
An Import API for API Mappers has been added, allowing users to manage API Mappers as code even more efficiently. Users can store mapper data in code repositories, manage changes, and track updates via version control, integrating seamlessly with CI/CD for consistent operations.
Policy Simulator
The Policy Simulator introduces a new User List report. This feature enhances scenario analysis by returning a list of allowed Identities with their associated Actions for a specific Asset.
Calculated Functions for Asset Attributes
New Calculation Functions for Asset Attributes allow dynamic value definition, offering greater flexibility and enabling more complex, tailored Policy logic to meet diverse business needs.
Snowflake Authorizer
Learn Mode now supports discovering both Row-Level Policies and Masking Policies that include filtering conditions, expanding its use case for more comprehensive Policy visibility.
AWS IAM Authentication for RDS
A new Secret Store has been added to support AWS IAM Authentication for Postgres RDS. This integration enables customers using AWS RDS as a PIP Data Source or a PDP Authorization Audit DB to leverage AWS IAM Authentication for enhanced security.
Policy Authorization Agent (PAA)
This release includes security enhancements for the PAA.
