PlainID Platform - March 2025 Release
The March 2025 version release of the Platform includes product enhancements, UI/UX updates, and bug fixes.
Policy Custom Attributes
Users can now expand their Policy metadata through new custom Attributes, ensuring that the metadata is tailored to the organization requirements while improving visibility and governance. These Attributes appear in the Policy Business View and Policy Code. The custom Policy Attributes extend to the PDP by enriching metadata when retrieving applicable Policies.
SaaS Authorization Management
You can now delete POPs, automatically deleting all associated objects and Policies from the PlainID platform. This action does not impact Policies and Objects on the vendor’s side.
Users can now set a Policy to inactive for safe testing and troubleshooting without permanent changes. Inactive Policies are deleted from the vendor’s side upon deployment and can be restored through reactivation and redeployment, streamlining SaaS Authorization Policy Management.
Snowflake Authorizer
Improved Policy Discovery: Enhanced support in Learn mode now allows mapping complex Policies with multiple when statements to PlainID’s structured View during Discovery, providing comprehensive business Policy visibility.
Expanded View Support: Enhancements include improved test connection logic, displaying discovered views in the Orchestration Workspace, and enabling the ability to use Views as an additional Identity source.
PIP Mongo DB Data Source Translator
Introducing an enhanced MongoDB translator, which now supports an updated MongoDB driver, improved connection management, and performance enhancements. This integration enables seamless access to MongoDB collections for use as data sources in PlainID Policy evaluation.
PIP Data Sources OAuth Access Token
The PIP OAuth configuration now integrates with the PlainID Secret Manager Service, enabling the use of OAuth client credentials from a secret store for improved secret management and rotation.
Additionally, PlainID now offers more flexibility in OAuth authentication for Data Sources, with configurable headers and control over the Auth Scheme prefix to support non-default use cases.
PIP Performance
PlainID’s PIP configuration now offers greater flexibility in parameter adjustments, enhancing performance and load tuning.
PDP Cache Control
Introducing an option to mark Identity Context Attributes for exclusion from PDP cache management for both the Identity Cache and Authorization Response Cache. This improves control over how context Attributes impact PDP caching, allowing users to exclude irrelevant Attributes and enhance cache efficiency.
PDP Extended Support for assetContext
The PDP assetContext option now supports requests with combinedMultiValues, ensuring Identity data relationships are preserved when both capabilities are used during assetContext evaluation.
Policy Authorization Agent (PAA)
This release includes security enhancements for the PAA.
