The May 2025 version release of the Platform includes product enhancements, UI/UX updates, and bug fixes.



Snowflake Authorizer

  • Added support for managing both Row-Level and Masking Policies defined with filters from PlainID, offering a more comprehensive Policy management experience.

  • Schema and Database fields are now presented as drop-downs populated with discovered values to simplify Policy authoring.

PlainID now supports Azure API Management, enhancing our range of API Authorization solutions. This integration enables seamless connectivity with Azure API Management, allowing for the configuration of API policies, leveraging PlainID PBAC to enforce granular access control, and streamlining the overall API security workflow.

JSON Filtering Authorizer

The JSON Filtering Authorizer now supports Dry Run mode using Custom Policy Attributes, allowing Policies to be evaluated without enforcement. This capability lets you log when a Policy would have applied, helping to validate new enforcements before going live. It streamlines Policy rollout by enabling safe, controlled testing directly in production environments.

Request Attribute Mapping

Introducing a new capability to utilize API Mappers for Request Attributes as part of API Access use cases. Enhancing the ability to use Request Attributes to transfer request context-specific data and consider it as part of the policy evaluation, by adding the flexibility to extract the Request Attribute value dynamically according to API Mappers.

User Access Token Response Counters
User Access Token responses now include Counters showing the number of authorized resources, both in total and by resource type and action. This helps integrating applications track access outcomes and simplifies Policy testing and troubleshooting.
